uluwatu-temple.jpgDifferent with all of the temples in Bali which all of them facing to the south or west, Uluwatu Temple is facing to the East. That’s mean it has a close relationship with Dewa Rudra, a God which stayed in the sea. This temple was built approximately in 976 M, when Bali under the led of King Warmadewa. Since this temple used by Dhang Hyang Nirartha to reach Moksa, it called Pura Lihur Uluwatu, a place where a holy person had been ‘ngelebur’.
